Hadith 9526

عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي قَوْمًا يُعْطَوْنَ مِثْلَ أُجُورِ أَوَّلِهِمْ يُنْكِرُونَ الْمُنْكَرَ
A companion narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be some people in my Ummah who will be given a reward like that of the earlier people; they will forbid evil.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Although laziness in not forbidding evil and the weakening of Islamic zeal also play a part, the real obstacle in this matter is people’s outward status and rank. We refer to this laziness as shyness, which in reality is a kind of cowardice due to which the honor and regard for Islam are not maintained.
