بَابُ ثَوَابِ الْمُتَحَانِينَ فِي اللَّهِ وَمَا أَعَدَّهُ اللهُ لَهُمْ مِنَ الْآخِرِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالنَّعِيمِ الْمُقِيمِChapter on the reward of those who love each other for the sake of Allah and what Allah has prepared for them of great reward and everlasting bliss
Hadith 9456

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَحَبَّ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَّا أَكْرَمَ رَبَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever loves a servant for the sake of Allah Almighty, in fact, honors Allah Almighty.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For a servant to honor Allah Ta‘ala means to follow the command of Allah Ta‘ala and to refrain from what He has prohibited, and one command is to love someone for the sake of Allah Ta‘ala and to have aversion to someone for His sake.
