Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty said: If I take away the eyesight of a person and he remains patient seeking reward, then I am not pleased with any reward for him less than Paradise.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The faculty of sight is a very great blessing from Allah Ta’ala. If a person does not have a deep connection with Allah Ta’ala, then life without this blessing is darkness. However, if one’s connection with Allah Ta’ala is strong, and one shows gratitude and patience regarding this blessing, then its reward is also very great.
