Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man met a woman who had been an adulteress during the time of ignorance. He began to flirt with her, to the extent that he touched her with his hand. Upon this, the woman said: "Stop! Indeed, Allah Almighty has taken away shirk and ignorance and has brought us Islam." So the man left, and on his way back, his face struck a wall and he was injured. Then he came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and related the entire incident to him. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are a servant for whom Allah Almighty intended good, and when Allah intends good for someone, He hastens the punishment for his sin. And when He intends evil for a servant, He withholds the punishment for his sin, until on the Day of Resurrection he is given full recompense, as if it were the 'Ir mountain."
