Hadith 9352

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am amazed at the affair of the believer, for verily all of his affair is good, and this is for no one except the believer. If something pleasing happens to him and he is grateful, then that is good for him; and if something harmful befalls him and he is patient, then that is good for him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That believer is the embodiment of this hadith who expresses gratitude to Allah Ta'ala for His favors and fulfills all the requirements of patience in the face of His trials.

If Allah Ta'ala decrees a blessing for the believer, he says "Alhamdulillah" (All praise is due to Allah), and if a trial is decreed for him from the Lord of the Throne, he says "Alhamdulillah, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un" (All praise is due to Allah, indeed we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return), and in both situations, he does not show heedlessness towards the decree of Allah Ta'ala.
