It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to me that, "Put on your clothes and take your weapon and come to me." So I reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was performing ablution. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his gaze towards me and then lowered it and said: "I intend to send you to such-and-such army, so Allah will keep you safe and will grant you spoils of war, and I desire for you a good share of wealth." I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I did not become a Muslim because of wealth; I accepted Islam out of desire for Islam and to be in your company." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Amr! Good wealth is the best thing for a righteous man."
