Miqdam bin Shuraih narrates from his father, who says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about desert life. She said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go to these sand dunes. Once, when he intended to live in the desert, he sent me a she-camel from the camels of charity, which had not yet been ridden, and said: Aisha! Fear Allah and be gentle, because whatever gentleness is found in, it adorns it, and whatever gentleness is taken away from, it makes it defective.
