عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ السَّعْدِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((إِذَا اسْتَشَاطَ السُّلْطَانُ تَسَلَّطَ الشَّيْطَانُ))
Sayyiduna Atiyyah Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a ruler becomes enraged (and is ablaze with anger), at that moment Satan takes control.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Rulers should act with patience and forbearance, and the habit of rage and anger should be completely eliminated. Similarly, it is also impermissible for people to engage in such matters that provoke the anger of the ruler.
