It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no gulp more beloved to Allah Almighty than the gulp of anger which a servant swallows. When a servant swallows such a gulp for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allah fills his heart with faith.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Allah, the Exalted, while describing the qualities of the pious, said: {الَّذِیْنَیُنْفِقُوْنَفِیالسَّرَّاءِوَالضَّرَّاءِوَالْکٰظِمِیْنَالْغَیْظَوَالْعَافِیْنَعَنِالنَّاسِوَاللّٰہُیُحِبُّالْمُحْسِنِیْنَ۔} … those who spend (in charity) in prosperity and adversity, and those who restrain their anger and pardon the people; and Allah loves the doers of good. (Surah Aal-e-Imran: 134)
