عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ الْمُسَدِّدَ لَيُدْرِكُ دَرَجَةَ الصَّوَّامِ الْقَوَّامِ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ وَكَرَمِ ضَرِيبَتِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, a Muslim who walks the path of moderation and constancy, due to his good character and natural forgiveness and forbearance, attains the rank of that person who fasts abundantly and stands much in prayer with the verses of Allah Almighty.
