It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man wishes to return (to intercourse) after having done it once, he should perform ablution. Sufyan said: Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id witnessed the time of the Battle of Harrah, meaning he was alive at that time.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In 63 AH, the Battle of Harrah took place between Yazid ibn Muawiyah and the people of Madinah. From the ahadith of this chapter and from the hadith mentioned in the commentary of hadith number (903), it is understood that when a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) eats food, he should wash his hands or perform ablution (wudu). If there are traces of impurity on the hands, then washing the hands will be necessary.
