عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا زَالَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ يُوصِينِي بِالْجَارِ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ سَيُوَرِّثُهُ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) advised me so much regarding the neighbor that I began to think he would make him an heir as well.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Inheritance is the right of only close relatives, but when the rights of neighbors were emphasized to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, it seemed to him that they would also be made deserving of inheritance.
Alongside the rights of Allah, there are also the rights of His servants, and among these, the rights of neighbors hold considerable importance. However, the Muslim of this era is not prepared to adopt complete Islam; everyone determines a few actions for themselves and considers only those to be sufficient.
