Hadith 897

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: اغْتَسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ جَنَابَةٍ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَأَى لُمْعَةً عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ الْأَيْسَرِ لَمْ تُصِبْهَا الْمَاءُ فَأَخَذَ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ فَبَلَّهَا ثُمَّ مَضَى إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the ritual bath of janabah. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out, he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that a part of his left shoulder had remained dry, and water had not reached it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of his hair and moistened that spot, then proceeded for prayer.
