Hadith 8955

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not consider any good deed insignificant, so if you have nothing to give, then meet your brother with a cheerful and open face.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Meeting someone with a smiling face is considered a minor virtue in every society; for this reason, there are more people who are negligent in this matter. However, the meaning of the statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is that no good deed should be considered insignificant and thus abandoned; rather, as much as possible, provisions for the Hereafter should be prepared.

The essence of the previous hadith was that, due to engaging in major deeds, one should not become negligent of other righteous actions, and in this hadith, encouragement is being given that even the smallest of deeds should not be abandoned.
