It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says: Whoever does a good deed, I will grant him ten times as much or even more, and whoever does an evil deed, its recompense will be equal to it, or I will forgive him. Whoever commits sins equal to the fill of the earth and then meets Me in such a state that he has not associated anyone with Me, I will grant him forgiveness equal to his sins. Whoever comes near Me by a span, I come near him by a hand; whoever comes near Me by a hand, I come near him by the length of two outstretched arms; and whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running.
