عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَمْرٍ فَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْهُ نَاسٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَغَضِبَ حَتَّى بَانَ الْغَضَبُ فِي وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا بَالُ قَوْمٍ يَرْغَبُونَ عَمَّا رُخِّصَ لِي فِيهِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَأَنَا أَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَأَشَدُّهُمْ لَهُ خَشْيَةً
Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted a concession in a certain matter, but some people refrained from accepting it. When this reached the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he became so angry that the anger was visible on his face. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What is the matter with people that they are turning away from something in which I have been granted a concession? By Allah! Among the people, I am the one who knows Allah the most and fears Him the most.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was the one with the greatest knowledge (ma‘rifah) of Allah, and the one who fulfilled the requirements of this knowledge most completely. Therefore, all the actions, deeds, and statements of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam are to be accepted with utmost respect. It is a dangerous matter that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam grants a concession (rukhsah), and people fall into doubt regarding it.
