It is narrated from Zir bin Hubaish, he says: I said to Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him): Your brother used to scrape these two surahs from the Mushaf, he did not deny this. When Sufyan was asked that by brother is meant Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: Yes, and these two surahs were not in the Mushaf of Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he thought that these were two incantations, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform incantations for Sayyiduna Hasan and Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) through them. In fact, Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) had not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recite these surahs in prayer, so he persisted in this opinion, but the rest of the people’s research is that these are part of the Noble Qur'an, therefore they included them in the Noble Qur'an.
