بَابُ أَنَّهَا نَزَلَتْ لِنَعْيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ نَفْسَهِChapter that it was revealed regarding the Prophet ﷺ announcing his own death
Hadith 8850

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ [سورة النصر] قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُعِيَتْ إِلَيَّ نَفْسِي بِأَنَّهُ مَقْبُوضٌ فِي تِلْكَ السَّنَةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when {اِذَا جَائَ نَصْرُ اللّٰہِ وَالْفَتْحُ} was revealed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In this is the news of my death; I will pass away this year.
