عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَهُ عَنْ غَسْلِ الرَّأْسِ، فَقَالَ: يَكْفِيكَ ثَلَاثَ حَفَنَاتٍ أَوْ ثَلَاثَ أَكُفٍّ ثُمَّ جَمَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ! إِنِّي رَجُلٌ كَثِيرُ الشَّعْرِ، قَالَ: فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ أَكْثَرَ شَعْرًا مِنْكَ وَأَطْيَبَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked him about washing the head. He said: Three handfuls are enough for you, then he joined both his hands together and indicated. But that man said: O Abu Sa'id! My hair is very thick. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had more hair than you and was purer.
