(Second Chain) Sayyiduna Nawwas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted has given an example: there is a straight path, on both sides of which are walls, and in them are open doors upon which curtains are hanging, and there is a caller at the head of the path, and a caller above the servant. And Allah the Exalted calls towards the abode of peace, and He guides whom He wills to the straight path. The doors on both sides of the path are the limits set by Allah the Exalted; as long as a person does not tear Allah's curtain, he does not enter into His limits. And the caller who calls from above is the admonisher from Allah the Exalted."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is a clear example, from which it is understood that the demand of faith (iman) is that one should not go near the boundaries set by Allah Ta’ala and the matters He has forbidden; otherwise, there is a risk that one’s faith may become deficient or that one may be deprived of it altogether. The caller in the middle of the path is the admonisher from Allah Ta’ala present in the heart of every Muslim. This rule applies to the person who possesses a general knowledge of what is lawful and unlawful in Islam, is of a serious disposition, is concerned about the Hereafter, and has not rendered his soul corrupt through evil deeds.
