Hadith 8779

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ [الواقعة: 34] وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ ارْتِفَاعَهَا كَمَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَمَسِيرَةُ خَمْسِ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: {وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَۃٍ} … and they will be on lofty beds. By the One in Whose hand is my soul: their height will be like the height between the sky and the earth, and the distance between the sky and the earth is five hundred years' journey.
