It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said, regarding the explanation of Allah Almighty’s statement {اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَۃُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ} … “The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.” During the blessed era of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the moon was split into two; one part was seen behind the (Hira) mountain and the other part above the mountain. Upon witnessing this miracle, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Bear witness.
