بَابُ: «وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الأعلى ۔۔۔۔۔إلى قَوْلِهِ ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔لَقَدْ رَأَى مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَى»Chapter: "And He is in the highest horizon...to His saying...He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord"

عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فَذَكَرَ شَيْئًا مِنَ التَّفْسِيرِ قَالَ قَوْلُهُ يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ [ق: 30] قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَزَالُ جَهَنَّمُ تَقُولُ هَلْ مِنْ مَزِيدٍ حَتَّى يَضَعَ فِيهَا رَبُّ الْعِزَّةِ قَدَمَهُ فَتَقُولُ قَطْ قَطْ وَعِزَّتِكَ وَيُزْوَى بَعْضُهَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ
Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him), narrating regarding the interpretation of this verse {یَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَہَنَّمَ ہَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ} … "On the Day We will say to Hell, 'Are you filled?'" says: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hell will keep demanding, "Are there any more (to come)?" until the Glorious Lord places His blessed foot in it. Then it will say, "Enough, enough, by Your honor!" Then one part of Hell will draw in towards another (and it will be filled).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Allah Ta'ala has promised Hell that He will fill it, but it is so deep and vast that when those deserving of it are cast into it, a large part of it will still remain empty. In order to fulfill His promise, Allah Ta'ala will place His blessed Foot in it, and its sides will come together and be filled. May Allah Ta'ala protect us from this place of punishment. Ameen.
