It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Jew passed by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was sitting. The Jew said: "O Abu al-Qasim! What do you say about this: when Allah, the Exalted, will lift the sky upon this index finger, and the earth upon this finger, and the water upon this finger, and the mountains upon this finger, and all the rest of creation upon this finger?" Along with this, the Jew pointed towards his fingers. Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed this verse: {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰہَ حَقَّ قَدْرِہِ} … And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal as is due to Him.
