Hadith 8675

عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبُرْسَانِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِي سُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ اخْتَلَفْنَا هَاهُنَا فِي الْوُرُودِ فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا لَا يَدْخُلُهَا مُؤْمِنٌ وَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا يَدْخُلُونَهَا جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا فَلَقِيتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّا اخْتَلَفْنَا فِي ذَلِكَ الْوُرُودِ فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا لَا يَدْخُلُهَا مُؤْمِنٌ وَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا يَدْخُلُونَهَا جَمِيعًا فَأَهْوَى بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ إِلَى أُذُنَيْهِ وَقَالَ صُمَّتَا إِنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْوُرُودُ الدُّخُولُ لَا يَبْقَى بَرٌّ وَلَا فَاجِرٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَهَا فَتَكُونُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِ بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا كَمَا كَانَتْ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَتَّى إِنَّ لِلنَّارِ أَوْ قَالَ لِجَهَنَّمَ ضَجِيجًا مِنْ بَرْدِهِمْ ثُمَّ يُنَجِّي اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَيَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا
Abu Samiyah says: We differed regarding entering Hell; some said: A believer will not enter it, but others said: All will enter, then Allah Almighty will save the people of piety. I met Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) and I said: We have differed regarding entering Hell; some say that the believer will not enter it, but others say that all will enter. He put his fingers in his ears and said: May they become deaf, if I had not heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say this: By entering is meant entering; every righteous and wicked person will enter this Hell, but that fire will be coolness and safety for the believers, just as it was for Ibrahim (peace be upon him), until, due to the coolness, a sound will be heard from their Hell. Then it will happen that Allah Almighty will save the pious people and will leave the wrongdoers in it on their knees.
