تفسير من سورة إبراهيم إلى سورة الشعراءInterpretation from Surah Ibrahim to Surah Ash-Shu'ara
بَابُ: «وَمَا جَعَلَنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةٌ للنَّاسِ»Chapter: "And We did not make the vision which We showed you except as a trial for the people"
Hadith 8654

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُولُ {وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ} [الإسراء: 60] شَيْءٌ أُرِيَهُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ رَآهُ بِعَيْنَيْهِ حِينَ ذَهَبَ بِهِ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that regarding the interpretation of this verse {وَمَا جَعَلَنَا الرُّؤْیَا الَّتِیْ اَرَیْنَاکَ اِلَّا فِتْنَۃً لِلنَّاسِ} … And We did not make the vision which We showed you except as a trial for the people, he says: That what is meant by this is the thing which was in the state of wakefulness, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw with his own eyes when he was taken towards Bayt al-Maqdis.
عَنْ عِكْرَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ} [الإسراء: 60] قَالَ هِيَ رُؤْيَا عَيْنٍ رَآهَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that regarding this verse {وَمَا جَعَلَنَا الرُّؤْیَا الَّتِیْ اَرَیْنَاکَ اِلَّا فِتْنَۃً لِلنَّاسِ} … "And We did not make the vision which We showed you except as a trial for the people," he says that by "the vision" is meant the seeing of the eye, which the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saw on the night of Mi'raj (Ascension).
