It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the punishment of the grave and said: In the grave, it is said to the servant, “Who is your Lord?” He says: “Allah Almighty is my Lord, and my Prophet is Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).” This correct answer is the manifestation of Allah Almighty’s statement: {یُثَبِّتُاللّٰہُالَّذِینَآمَنُوْابِالْقَوْلِالثَّابِتِفِیالْحَیَاۃِالدُّنْیَاوَفِیْالْآخِرَۃِ} … Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in the life of this world and in the Hereafter. That is, it refers to the Muslim.
