بَابُ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: «وَيُسْقَى مِنْ مَاءٍ صَدِيدِ »Chapter: His saying, the Exalted: "And is given to drink scalding water"

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَيُسْقَى مِنْ مَاءٍ صَدِيدٍ يَتَجَرَّعُهُ} [إبراهيم: 16-17] قَالَ يُقَرَّبُ إِلَيْهِ فَيَتَكَرَّهُهُ فَإِذَا دَنَا مِنْهُ شُوِيَ وَجْهُهُ وَوَقَعَتْ فَرْوَةُ رَأْسِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَهُ قَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْ دُبُرِهِ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَسُقُوا مَاءً حَمِيمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَمْعَاءَهُمْ} [محمد: 15] وَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ {وَإِنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ} [الكهف: 29]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explained the saying of Allah Almighty {وَیُسْقٰی مِنْ مَائٍ صَدِیدٍیَتَجَرَّعُہُ} … “and he will be given to drink of boiling pus. He will sip it and will hardly be able to swallow it.” He said: When this water is brought near to the inhabitant of Hell, he will dislike it. Then, when he brings his face near it, his face will be scorched and the skin of his head will fall into it. And when he drinks it, his intestines will be cut into pieces, which will come out from his anus. Allah Almighty said: {وَسُقُوا مَائً حَمِیمًا فَقَطَّعَ أَ مْعَائَ ہُمْ} … “They will be given boiling water to drink, which will cut up their bowels.” He further said: {وَإِنْ یَسْتَغِیثُوْایُغَاثُوْا بِمَائٍ کَالْمُہْلِیَشْوِی الْوُجُوہَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ} … “And if they ask for water, they will be given water like molten brass, which will scald their faces. What a dreadful drink!”
