(Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) was stuffing clay into Pharaoh’s mouth out of fear that he might say LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Pharaoh said: {آمَنْتُأَنَّہُلَااِلٰہَإِلَّاالَّذِیآمَنَتْبِہِبَنُوإِسْرَائِیلَ} … I believe that there is no true deity except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe. Then Jibreel (peace be upon him) said to me: O Muhammad! If only you could have seen me at that time when I was taking the black mud of the sea and stuffing it into Pharaoh’s mouth, fearing that (Allah’s) mercy might reach him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The end of evil people is also evil. The fundamental law of Allah Ta’ala is that a person dies in the same manner as he lived his life. The souls of those who were accustomed to performing abundant prostrations (sujood) during their lives departed while they were in prostration, and those who were devoted to evil had to accept the message of death while in a state of wrongdoing. The life of Pharaoh was filled with grave examples of rebellion and arrogance, and therefore, his end was destined to be in accordance with that.
