Hadith 8631

It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about the statement of Allah Almighty: {لَہُمْ الْبُشْرَی فِی الْحَیَاۃِ الدُّنْیَا وَفِی الْآخِرَۃِ} … For such people there is good news in the life of this world and in the Hereafter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have asked me about something that no one from my Ummah has asked before. It refers to a good dream, which a righteous servant sees or which is shown to him.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: …
Behold! Indeed, the friends of Allah—there will be no fear upon them, nor will they grieve. Those who believed and used to fear (Allah). For them are glad tidings in the life of this world and in the Hereafter. There is no change to the words of Allah; that is the great success.

The awliya (friends) of Allah Ta’ala are those whose hearts are filled with faith (iman) and certainty (yaqin), whose outward state is immersed in piety (taqwa) and God-consciousness. The greater the taqwa, the greater the wilayah (friendship with Allah). Such people, on the Day of Resurrection, will be without fear, unfamiliar with sorrow and grief; whatever of the world passes them by, they will not feel regret or remorse over it. One cause of happiness and glad tidings for such people is also the righteous dream that comes to them in this world.
