بَابُ :«يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ اللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِي الْكَلَالَةِ »Chapter: "They request from you a [legal] ruling. Say: Allah gives you a ruling concerning kalalah"

عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْكَلَالَةِ فَقَالَ تَكْفِيكَ آيَةُ الصَّيْفِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him about kalalah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The verse revealed in summer is sufficient for you.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Verse number (176) of Surah An-Nisa was revealed in the summer; in it, the uterine and consanguine siblings (i.e., siblings from the same father or the same mother) of the kalalah are mentioned. In verse number (12) of Surah An-Nisa, the maternal siblings (i.e., siblings from the same mother only) of the kalalah are mentioned.
