It is narrated from Abu Salil that a companion used to narrate hadiths to the people, until when the number of people increased, he climbed onto the roof of the house to narrate hadiths to them. One such hadith was: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Which verse in the Holy Qur'an is the greatest? A man replied and said: {اَللَّہُ لَا اِلٰہَ إِلَّا ہُوَ الْحَیُّ الْقَیُّومُ} meaning Ayat al-Kursi. Upon hearing this answer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on his shoulder. He said: I felt the coolness of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) hand in my chest, or the companion said: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his hand on my chest and I felt its coolness between my shoulders. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abu Mundhir! May this knowledge be blessed for you, this is indeed knowledge.
