Sayyiduna Ma’qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Al-Baqarah is the hump and the peak of the Qur’an, with every verse of it, eighty (80) angels descended, and its verse {لَااِلٰہَإِلَّاہُوَالْحَیُّالْقَیُّومُ} was brought out from beneath the Divine Throne and then joined to Surah Al-Baqarah. Surah Ya-Sin is the heart of the Noble Qur’an; whoever recites it seeking Allah’s pleasure and reward in the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will forgive him. Recite this Surah near your dying ones.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The following hadith proves that Surah al-Baqarah is indeed the hump and the peak of the Noble Qur’an: Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas’ud radi Allahu anhu narrates both mawquf (his own statement) and marfu’ (ascribed to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): “Indeed, everything has a hump, and the hump of the Qur’an is Surah al-Baqarah. And indeed, when Shaytan hears Surah al-Baqarah being recited, he leaves the house in which Surah al-Baqarah is being recited.” (Hakim: 1/561, Sahihah: 588)
