Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that in every month of Ramadan, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would present the Noble Qur’an to Jibreel (peace be upon him). Then, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the morning after that night, he would be more generous than even the swift wind. Whatever was asked from him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would grant it. When that month of Ramadan came in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, in that month the Qur’an was presented twice.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Ramadan, the recitation of the Qur’an in sequence (dawr), and meeting with Jibril (alayhis salam)—due to the blessings of these matters, the generosity of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would increase. The reason for reciting (the Qur’an) twice in the year of his passing is so that the abrogating and abrogated (nasikh wa mansukh) and every kind of change could be thoroughly known, and so that the memorization of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would be further perfected. For this reason, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said to Sayyidah Fatimah (radi Allahu anha): “He confided to me that Jibril used to review the Qur’an with me once every year, but this year he reviewed it with me twice, and I do not see this except as an indication that my appointed time (of death) has come.” … The Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) spoke to me confidentially, saying that Jibril (alayhis salam) used to review the Qur’an with him once every year, but this year he reviewed it twice; I think that the time of my death has come.
