Hadith 8402

Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever's regular (night) practice is missed, but he performs it between the Fajr and Dhuhr prayers, it will be as if he performed it during the night."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If a person has fixed a particular form of remembrance (dhikr) or recitation (tilawah) at night apart from prayer, and it is missed due to an excuse, then acting upon this hadith, he may perform it between the Fajr prayer and the Zuhr prayer, so that its continuity remains. However, if the tahajjud prayer (night prayer) is missed due to an excuse, then the time for making it up (qada) will begin after sunrise, not immediately after the Fajr prayer. The final time for both acts is at zawal (when the sun begins to decline from its zenith).
