Hadith 8396

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people in the year of Tabuk and said, while he (peace be upon him) was leaning against a date-palm tree: The worst among the people is the one who is wicked and bold, who recites the Book of Allah Almighty, but does not invite towards anything from it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It happened exactly as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had said: after the year 60 AH, evil, corruption, and bloodshed increased, and differences among the Muslims became greater. In the early days of Rajab, 60 AH, Sayyiduna Muawiyah radi Allahu anhu passed away, and on that very day, Yazid came to power. Those involved in the teaching and learning of the Noble Qur’an should repeatedly examine their intentions.
