عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اسْتَقْرِئُوا الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ وَأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Learn the Qur'an from these four individuals: Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Salim the freed slave of Abu Hudhaifah, Mu'adh bin Jabal, and Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with them).

Benefits: … This is an exposition of the great virtue of four noble Companions (Sahabah), that for the teaching of the most exalted speech, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, among his countless companions, mentioned by name only these four.
