Hadith 838

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people who used to give the verdict that the water of purification (ghusl) is used only after the discharge of semen, this was a concession. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had given this concession in the early days of Islam, but afterwards we were commanded to perform the full ritual bath (ghusl).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The water of ritual bath (ghusl) is used only because of the water of semen (mani). What is meant by this is that when ejaculation (inzal) occurs, then a ritual bath (ghusl) will be performed, and as long as ejaculation does not occur, a ritual bath will not be performed.
