It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) gave him the glad tidings that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever wishes to recite the Qur'an as fresh as it was revealed, then let him recite according to the recitation of the son of Umm 'Abd (Abdullah bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him).
