It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting on the day of the conquest of Makkah. If I had not feared that people would crowd around me, I would have imitated for you the recitation of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) had recited Surah Al-Fath. Muawiyah bin Qurrah said: If I had not feared that people would gather around me, I would have imitated for you the Surah as described by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him), how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited it. Ghundar, the narrator, said: He (peace and blessings be upon him) recited with a vibrating tone.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If You punish them, then surely they are Your servants; and if You forgive them, then surely You are the Mighty, the Wise. [المائدۃ: ۱۱۸] The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam recited this verse throughout the entire standing (qiyam). In this verse, an extraordinary manner of expressing humility before Allah Ta'ala has been demonstrated.
