Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Holy Qur'an and is proficient in it, he will be with the noble, righteous angels with white faces. And the one who recites it and finds it difficult, he will receive a double reward.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … An expert in the Qur’an is one who has completed its memorization in the best manner, does not stumble during recitation, recites with excellence and observes the rules of tajwid, and when listened to, it seems as if the Qur’an is flowing upon the reciter’s tongue. At the same time, the beauty of the practical requirements of the Qur’an is also visible in his character. The double reward refers to the reward for recitation and the reward for enduring hardship. The second part of the hadith does not mean that a person recites incorrectly and haphazardly; rather, it refers to a person whose tongue can barely pronounce the words, or who, in the beginning, finds it difficult due to illiteracy. In any case, it is necessary for every person to make arrangements for a good teacher in order to acquire the knowledge of the Qur’an.
