عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مُعَاذًا وَأَبَا مُوسَى إِلَى الْيَمَنِ وَأَمَرَهُمَا أَنْ يُعَلِّمَا النَّاسَ الْقُرْآنَ
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen and instructed them to teach the people the Holy Qur'an.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent these two Companions from Madinah Munawwarah towards Yemen, and one of the purposes of sending them was also the teaching of the Noble Qur’an.
