Hadith 8336

Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever memorizes the first seven surahs of the Holy Qur'an is a great scholar.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In one narration, instead of "al-awwal" the wording is "al-tiwal." By these are meant the following seven surahs:
(1) Surah al-Baqarah, (2) Surah Aal Imran, (3) Surah al-Nisa, (4) Surah al-Ma'idah, (5) Surah al-An'am, (6) Surah al-A'raf, (7) Surah al-Anfal, Surah al-Tawbah (some scholars consider Surah al-Anfal and Surah al-Tawbah to be one surah).
Most of the detailed, jurisprudential, and important issues of the Noble Qur'an are mentioned in these first seven surahs.
