Hadith 8324

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fasting and the Qur'an will intercede for the servant on the Day of Resurrection. Fasting will say: O my Lord! I kept him away from food, drink, and other desires, so accept my intercession for him. The Qur'an will say: I kept him from sleeping at night, so accept my intercession for him. Thus, their intercession will be accepted.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Reflect on the wording of the intercession of both the Noble Qur’an and fasting, so that within us the desire to act upon the Qur’an, to stand (in prayer) at night, and to fulfill the requirements of fasting may be fully awakened.
