Abdullah bin Shaddad says: When Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated this hadith to Marwan that one should perform ablution after eating something cooked on fire, Marwan, upon hearing this, sent a message to Sayyida Umm Salamah (ra) and asked her about it. She said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tore off the meat from the shoulder in my presence and went towards prayer, and did not even touch water.
