Hadith 8250

Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spread salam (greetings of peace) generally, you will remain safe; giving preference to only some people (for meeting and greeting) is the worst thing.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is evident that when Muslims, upon meeting each other, pray for peace, safety, mercy, and blessings for one another, then as a result, only peace and safety will be attained. In the light of other ahadith, due to the greeting of salam, love will increase, faith (iman) will be strengthened, and entry into Paradise (Jannah) will be granted.
