It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that two men sneezed in the presence of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. One of them was more honorable than the other. The honorable one sneezed but did not say "Alhamdulillah," so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not respond to his sneeze. The other sneezed and said "Alhamdulillah," so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, responded to him. The honorable one said: "I also sneezed near you, but you did not respond to me, and he sneezed and you responded to him?" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He sneezed and mentioned Allah Almighty, so I also mentioned him. And you forgot Allah Almighty, so I also forgot you."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Reflect on the words with which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is making the one who does not say "alhamdulillah" (all praise is due to Allah) understand that by not saying "alhamdulillah," he has neglected Allah Ta'ala. Thus, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also, by not uttering supplicatory words for him, neglected him in return.
