Hadith 8230

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a child whose head had some hair shaved and some left unshaved. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shave the entire head or leave the entire head.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is called "bowl cutting," meaning that some parts of the head are shaved while other parts are left unshaven. This makes a person look unsightly, and furthermore, it was the habit of some polytheists to keep their hair in this manner. What should be done is that a person should either shave all the hair on his head, or have it trimmed with scissors.
