عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَزَعِ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْقَزَعُ قَالَ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ رَأْسُ الصَّبِيِّ وَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُهُ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade qaza’. I asked: What is meant by qaza’? He said: Qaza’ is when part of a child’s head is shaved and part is left unshaven.
