Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, Sayyiduna Abu Quhafa (may Allah be pleased with him) was brought to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The hair of his head was white like the Thaghamah plant. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take him to one of his women so that she may dye his hair and change its color, but keep him away from black dye.
